Join celebrated educator, leader, and author Elaine Foster-Allen for an inspiring evening as she launches her powerful new book, She Sehs She Wants To Be A Teacha.

With a distinguished career spanning both the United Kingdom and Jamaica, Elaine Foster-Allen has dedicated decades to transforming education, championing leadership, and empowering communities. Her career began in the UK, where she served as Headteacher at Handsworth Wood Girls’ School, Deputy Headteacher at Handsworth Wood Boys’ School, and Inspector with Her Majesty’s Inspectorate (HMI), helping to shape educational standards and opportunities for young people across Birmingham and beyond.

Elaine later continued her outstanding contribution to education in Jamaica, including serving as Principal of a premier teacher training institution, the first Chief Inspector of Education, and Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of Education and Health, as well as the Office of the Prime Minister.

This special evening will bring together educators, professionals, community leaders, family, friends, and former students for meaningful conversation, celebration, and connection.
