What does it mean to be a Brummie?

Join BRIG Café for an afternoon of conversation, creativity and community on Saturday 7 November, from 2–4pm.

We’re inviting you to join us for BRIG Café Conversations: What Does It Mean to Be a Brummie? - a free, welcoming event exploring identity, belonging and the many different ways we connect with Birmingham. This will be more than a conversation. Through group discussion, creative expression and crafts, we’ll explore our experiences of the city, share stories and find different ways to express what being a Brummie means to us.

Have your say on the Being Brummie podcast!

As part of the event, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a Being Brummie podcast episode. This is a chance to share your own perspective and help capture the voices, stories and experiences that make up Birmingham’s identity.

Whether you've lived here all your life or have recently made the city your home, there's a place for you in our conversation. Come along to get creative, meet others, exchange ideas and celebrate the many different stories that make Birmingham what it is.
