BRIG invites you to join us as we visit 'The Stories that Made Us with Hardish Virk"

BRIG Visit “The Stories That Made Us” Exhibition

Birmingham Race Impact Group is inviting members and the wider community to join a group visit to “The Stories That Made Us – Roots, Resilience, and Representation” with Hardish Virk on 9 May.

Exploring archives and storytelling through art, the exhibition reflects how creative practice can shape our understanding of identity, history, and belonging. For Hardish Virk, decades of collecting, documenting, and creating have culminated in this immersive showcase, which centres South Asian stories and experiences.

The group will depart from Birmingham New Street station on the 12:03 train, with one-way tickets currently advertised from £6.10. After arriving, attendees will walk together to the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, where the exhibition is currently on display.

This visit offers an opportunity to engage with powerful narratives rooted in archives, resilience, and representation, while connecting with others through a shared cultural experience.
